Specifications and Performance of Hydrogen Miata

Mazda's long-term vision of the ideal fuel for the 21st century is demonstrated in the company's hydrogen-powered Miata. While not intended for sale, Mazda's hydrogen-powered Miata embodies the technology of potential new vehicles in the future. The hydrogen Miata houses a slightly modified version of Mazda's non-turbo rotary engine with a metal hydride fuel tank. Hydrogen, when burned, emits virtually nothing but water vapor. The travel range for this excpetionally clean burning engine is approximately 100 miles.
